where everybody knows your name...
Sometimes you walk into a bar and think "I wish this place was in my neighborhood". OK, it wasn't quite 'Cheers' (at least I didn't hear anyone yell 'NORM' as the customers walked in), but the Orchid Lounge in the east village is clearly a place that could attract the local artsy/alternative types. The half-priced drinks from 5-8pm was a nice surprise, as was the 'Sajito', which is a Mojito with Sake instead of Rum. The shrine to Connie Chung behind the bar is a bit weird, but not weird enough to keep me away...

Beth, computer challenged yes, but I'm doing my best. What's up? Just want to see if this works. I like that comment from CLO---> A-man. Very cute. Hope you had a fun weekend with the 'mystery lady'... :>) You'll have to fill me in sometime.

Hi Aron....I have to admit, with much regret, that I am just now checking out your blog.
I love that I have known you long enough to actually hear you in my head telling your story as I read through your various postings. It sounds as though you are settling in quite nicely and adding yet another experience-rich new chapter to your life.
